about the benevolent fund

Together, we build stronger communities through education and giving.

The IBEW Local 400 Benevolent Fund is a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible trust that raises money to provide scholarships for the children of IBEW Local 400 members as well as to support local charitable organizations in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. 100% of the donations made to this fund go directly toward scholarship funding and charitable contributions to enhance our community.

In 2019 I approached Business Manager Shimko about creating an avenue in which the Local would have better means to help the Monmouth & Ocean Counties communities as well as provide a service to our members. Through that inquiry, with the assistance of our Executive Board and the guidance of our team of professionals, the IBEW Local 400 Benevolent Fund was born.

About IBEW Local 400

Generations of service, education, and giving back to our community.

IBEW Local 400 has been providing the electrical workforce in Monmouth and Ocean Counties since 1917. As residents and neighbors of the community, Local 400 established the Benevolent Fund to help further the education of the children of its members and support local charities with financial donations.
